How I manage?

I’m a wife, a mom, full time job employee, and a dreamer. I’ve heard so many times, from other moms, that their schedules are so busy that they no longer have time for life’s pleasures. I totally understand! When I had some free time, I would always think about what I should do to improve my family life and my career. I would constantly feel guilty when doing ‘nothing’. But as I got older, I started to see my mistakes. Trying to meet all of these expectations set by me, I lost track of my dreams and goals. In order to love others deeply, we need to love ourselves even deeper.  I started to enjoy some laziness, but if we want to change something permanently in our lives I believe that we need to stay productive. For me, it is at least 30 minutes a day for just myself- but I take some time to take actions towards my dreams too. Procrastination is a very dangerous ‘beast’ and I’m avoiding it. I want to be sure that I’m with my family, enjoying some “alone-time,” or working towards my dreams. The key is a balance that I am getting better at achieving! Are you struggling with self-love? Do you feel like you are not good enough? You are worthy, you are loved, you are enough!

“I found in my research that the biggest reason people aren’t more self-compassionate is that they are afraid they’ll become self-indulgent. They believe self-criticism is what keeps them in line. Most people have gotten it wrong because our culture says being hard on yourself is the way to be.”
– Kristen Neff

“You have been criticizing yourself for years, and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.”
– Louise L. Hay

I do one thing a day which makes me feel very special. I drink cappuccino! There are no better proportions for coffee than this one 🙂 . I love going to cafe’s with my two girls. Recently we discovered a cozy place in St. Albert, Alberta. What delicious cakes they make! My favourite dish there, is the ‘Baked Brie.’ It is a wonderful baked brie with roasted garlic and sweet chilli sauce, served with a baguette. So delicious!  Thank you Confections Cake Co., you are doing a great job!
